At Orca AI, we are on a mission to make shipping companies rethink the way they operate and empower their crews with AI and automation for a safer and more efficient maritime industry. We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Senior Product Manager to lead the development and expansion of our AI-driven solutions. In this role, you will drive the strategy and execution of our products, bridging the gap between cutting-edge technology and customer needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that create significant value for users and align with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- AI Product Strategy & Vision:
- Define and own the computer vision based product roadmap, aligning it with company goals and long-term strategy.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging CV algorithms to solve complex business problems and enhance user experiences.
- Market Research & Analysis:
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and competitive landscape to inform product development.
- Conduct user research and market analysis to understand customer needs and identify gaps our product can address.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and software development teams to define, develop, and deliver solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across design, marketing, CSM and sales to ensure successful product launches and adoption.
- AI Model Development Oversight:
- Work with technical teams to define requirements for AI/ML models, ensuring they align with product goals.
- Evaluate model performance and usability, providing feedback to optimize outcomes.
- Execution & Delivery:
- Translate complex concepts into actionable product features and user stories.
- Monitor development milestones, identify risks, and implement strategies to meet deadlines.
- Performance Measurement:
- Define and track success metrics (e.g., model accuracy, customer engagement, and ROI) to measure the impact of our features.
- Leverage analytics tools to refine AI models and improve customer outcomes.
- Customer Advocacy:
- Champion a user-centric approach in product development, ensuring features address real-world problems.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to continuously refine and improve AI capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field (MBA or advanced technical degree preferred).
- 5+ years of product management experience, with 2+ years in AI or machine learning-focused products.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies, workflows, and their applications.
- Proven track record of delivering AI-powered products from concept to launch.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
